Thanksgiving

Try these for something a bit different this year!

PUMPKIN CHEESECAKE PIE

Crust
1 cup graham cracker crumbs 1/2 cup Ground pecans
2 tablespoons sugar
1/8 teaspoon ginger
1/4 cup melted butter or margarine
  1. Combine all ingredients and press in to pie pan

Filling

3/4 cup firmly packed brown sugar 1 package cream cheese, 8 oz. 1 cup unsweetened pumpkin filling, 16 oz. can 1/2 cup heavy cream 1 teaspoon cinnamon 1/2 teaspoon ginger 1/2 teaspoon salt 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg 1/4 teaspoon cloves 1 dash black pepper 3 eggs

Mix all ingredients ,pour into shell and bake at 350 F for 45 minutes.

TOPPING

pecan halves
whipped cream

PUMPKIN CREAM PIE

2 cups milk
2 packages instant vanilla pudding mix
1 cup canned pumpkin
1 teaspoon pumpkin pie spice
1 cup whipped topping, (Cool whip)
1 Baked 9", cooled pie shell

Combine milk,pie filling mix,pumpkin,spice and topping in a deep narrow bottom bowl.Beat at lowest speed of electric mixer for 1 minute.Pour into pie shell.Chill until set,at least 3 hours. Garnish with additional whipped topping and pecans,if desired.
